Sentinels may be trying to bail Hunter “SicK” Mims out of jail.

SicK, a substitute Valorant player for Sentinels, was arrested earlier this month and charged with trespassing after a hostile altercation at a Ferrari car dealership. The bail was set at $5,000.

Leading up to this incident, SicK had been dealing with some mental health issues. These struggles are what led him to leave the Sentinel’s main Valorant roster in the summer of 2022. Other pro players were concerned for him after hearing of the arrest, begging SicK to reach out to them.

Meanwhile, Sentinels had temporarily suspended SicK from the Valorant team but remained part of the organization. The organization will require him to complete training in order to return to the team, according to a recent report by Dot Esports.

But now it seems that Sentinels may be bailing him out of jail.

On Twitter, SicK discussed some details surrounding the arrest. According to a since-deleted Twitter thread, SicK explained that he had argued with a salesperson at the car dealership. A report also claimed that he refused to leave the location after he was told to, which is what led to the arrest.

Since then, SicK has been in jail for eight days.

Luckily for SicK, Sentinels are going to pay the bail, which is $5,000. According to a report by Dot Esports, representatives from the organization are also going to pay for SicK’s sister to fly to Dallas, Texas to pick him up from the jail, concerned about him being released without any family nearby.

For now, OpTic player Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen has been signed to the Valorant roster to replace SicK. The team is going on to compete in the VCT 2023 season, facing 100 Thieves in the opening match on April 1, 2023.
