Twitch streamer Natalia “Alinity” Mogollon has stood up for Rebecca “JustAMinx” after the streamer’s drunk antics got QTCinderella’s Streamer Awards afterparty shut down.
Like most streamer-related events, the Streamer Awards was accompanied by some drama. JustAMinx was the center of the controversy after the streamer became dangerously intoxicated at QT’s afterparty. But when security tried to help Minx leave and grab an Uber, the streamer caused a scene.
“So they went to remove her but instead of just calling an Uber and leaving, she refused to leave then decided to drop down and no longer walk, becoming a deadweight and hitting her head,” QTCinderella explained.
The dangerous behavior ultimately caused QTCinderella to shut down her afterparty, losing her $50,000 in the process.
After the incident, the streaming community became quite concerned for JustAMinx. On her personal Twitter account, she admitted she didn’t have any memory of the night after suffering from a bad seizure. While some replies wished her well, others stated that she had previously promised she would stop drinking after similar things occurred in the past.
“I assumed getting drunk at the after party would be fine… Clearly it was not,” Minx tweeted.
At this point, many in her replies accused her of being an alcoholic in denial, pointing out that she should have known not to get drunk if this is how she ultimately behaves under the influence. Others said that just because she is friends with QT doesn’t mean she can misbehave at her party, especially if she told her beforehand she wouldn’t get that wasted.
Even Felix “xQc” Lengyel chimed in, urging Minx’s friends to help her stop drinking.
Alinity defends JustAMinx from attacks over drunken behavior
At this point, controversial streamer Alinity felt she had to step in and defend JustAMinx from the growing backlash.
In a recent stream, Alinity said that the attacks from friends and internet trolls were not helping Alinity at all. While Alinity admitted she’s not super close to JustAMinx and wasn’t aware of the “extent of her problems,” she said she has tried to reach out “a million times” but has realized it’s not worth it.
“There’s just a point where you can’t do anything,” she explained. “What I’m trying to say is, she’s someone who is in pain and if you want to tell her, hey, I’m not going to be in your life anymore until you get better, that’s a good thing. You should do that, you should tell an addict, ‘Hey I’m not going to be in your life anymore until you get better.’”
While friends have the power to help Minx, Alinity said that viewers attacking her and commenting on her situation online “does not help anyone.”
“I just worry about her,” Alinity added.
After the drunken incident, Minx stated that her epilepsy caused her to have a seizure. She is planning to travel home to Ireland to see a doctor about her health and medication. Despite the health scare, QTCinderella has blocked JustAMinx on Twitter, most likely sick of her broken promises and hoping she gets help before attending another streamer party.
