My Shop is an event-restricted feature in League of Legends that offers skins on varying discounts. Here’s how My Shop works.

My Shop was introduced by Riot Games as a way to encourage players to purchase cosmetics for champions they play regularly by offering tailored discounts on randomized skins through the League of Legends client. Here’s when you can expect My Shop as well as exactly how it works.

What is My Shop in League of Legends?

While Riot Games does offer frequently refreshing discounts for League of Legends cosmetics in the store proper, My Shop is an opportunity to give players more access to skins for champions they play a lot of.

The premise is simple! A new tab in the player navigation bar will appear during skin line events, yearly holiday events, and the like. This tab will be labelled “My Shop” and have a rectangular emblem resembling a Hextech chest.

Inside this tab will be five rectangular Hextech icons. Clicking on them will cause them to open and reveal a skin for a champion you’ve played recently with a variable discount.

These skins can include Legacy content, indicated by a winged Shuriman-esque icon in the top left. These are skins that aren’t normally available for purchase any more, having been taken out of the official store. However, the champion selection can be somewhat unreliable, sometimes avoiding the most-played champions out of sheer bad luck.

Overall, however, My Store should offer at least one skin for a champion you play regularly. There are some skins that cannot be offered in My Shop, specifically Ultimate skins, skins released with 90 days of My Shop opening, Limited skins, Loot skins, skins that are already on sale, and skins that aren’t available for RP like Victorious or Prestige skins.

My Shop arrives several times a year, so you’re not out of luck for a long time if one shop doesn’t offer anything you’re interested in. While many players don’t spend any money on Riot Points, this is a good occasion to put in five to ten dollars into the game and get far more skins out of the transaction than normally. It can also be a great way to spend the free RP from an Amazon Prime membership.
