The seventh week of the 2022 LCS Spring Split kicks off with a match between Immortals and 100 Thieves, a team chasing the top seeds in the league ahead of playoffs.
To keep the momentum rolling, 100 Thieves will have to take down Immortals, which has been struggling in recent weeks. Immortals will enter this match with five losses in a row, placing them at ninth place in the league with a long way to the playoff spots. 100 Thieves will enter in third place with an 8-5 record, placing them as the clear favorite and the team to carry all the pressure in this match.
Even though Immortals is in a really bad streak, the team has shown signs of light throughout the split. This was especially proven when Immortals took down 100 Thieves earlier this split against all odds. Losing to Immortals twice in a row would be unacceptable for the defending LCS champions, so 100 Thieves cannot enter this match underestimating the Immortals squad.
Xerxe must stand the test in the jungle against Closer
When looking at the matchups, one of the keys for this game will be in the jungle. So far this split, the junglers for each team have played a big part in most of the wins. 100 Thieves jungler Can “Closer” Celik has been a rock for the team since he joined by the end of 2020 and this is still the case to this day. Even though he has had some rough games this season, he is usually able to show up against opponents that 100 Thieves clearly should beat.
Immortals jungler Andrei “Xerxe” Dragomir is also a player that has previously been delivering at a high level, especially during his time in Europe. Unfortunately for Immortals this split, the Romanian jungler has struggled to find momentum in the meta which has resulted in some rough games recently.
Before the losing streak for Immortals, Xerxe did have some great games with a lot of impact on the map. He will have to find that shape once again when going up against 100 Thieves, otherwise, it seems like Immortals will be running into a brick wall and be unable to find leads on the map.
With Xerxe in top shape, Immortals might be able to get the ball rolling from the start of the game and upset 100 Thieves based on comfort picks and team play. The team will have to play concentrated, otherwise, there’s a high chance that 100 Thieves will roll over them and continue its winning streak.

100 Thieves heavily favored to take down Immortals in LCS
With such a big difference between the teams in the standings, it’s obvious that bookmakers favor 100 Thieves highly in this match.
Immortals still has some hope because it took down 100 Thieves earlier this season, but doing it twice in a row will be extremely hard. This obviously leaves Immortals with really high odds, but also an extreme risk when betting on them.
Even though there’s a high odds to win, we are choosing to go with 100 Thieves since the difference in shape between the two teams is simply too big. Betting on 100 Thieves alone won’t give a lot, but combining it with other matches could make up for a great coupon.
Betting on 100 Thieves will give odds of 1.25 while Immortals is sitting much higher at odds 3.56. It’s definitely tempting to go with Immortals for big profits, but until the team has broken the losing streak it seems too risky to bet on.
The match between Immortals and 100 Thieves will go down on Saturday, March 19.
