It’s an exciting time to be a gamer, thanks to a robust slate of new releases and improved subscription services. Although predictions are difficult to make, this article outlines the best video game comebacks expected this year.

After two straight years of improvement in 2020 and 2021, the year 2022 had a different pattern than expected.

Top video game comebacks in 2023

In 2020, game companies had a record season. Many still wonder if it was a one-time boost due to lockdowns. People played non-AAMs casino games and video games to cope and restore their social lives. The industry is now beyond that, and development is in the works.

With this, 2023 could mark a massive comeback year for video game players. “While 2022 has been a challenging year for the video game industry, we see 2023 setting up to be a favorable year,” Morgan Stanley, a video game analyst, said in a report.

This is because publishers intend to release a broader line-up of new titles in 2023. Arguably, the publishers pushed back titles scheduled for release in 2022 to 2023 due to delays caused by lockdowns.

When these delayed games combine with those already scheduled for this year, this should result in a spectacular year for game releases. The following is a list of the top three video game titles originally scheduled for release in 2022. However, they will now be available this year.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Previously known as Breath of the Wild 2, the spinoff to the ultra-popular open-world Zelda game had its release date set in 2022. However, the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is now one of the countless big games set for release in 2023. This is Nintendo’s follow-up to what many consider the best game of all time.

We are eager to find out what treasures Tears of the Kingdom has in store for us when it arrives on Switch on May 12.

Hogwarts Legacy

In 2018, the first trailer for this Harry Potter simulation game leaked. However, the publishers formally confirmed the game’s release date at the PlayStation 5 event in 2020. There has been a delay twice since then, with the most recent release window in 2022.

Despite the fact that a lot of new trailers came out in 2022, Hogwarts Legacy won’t be available until February 10, 2023. Before beginning the game as fifth-year Hogwarts students, gamers can customize their characters and select their preferred house.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Rocksteady Studios’ new Suicide Squad game set in the “Arkhamverse,” originally announced in August 2020, had its release date set in 2022. The publishers, however, revealed that this DC anti-hero title would come out in early 2023.

At the game event in 2022, there was a new teaser, and the publishers confirmed that the game’s exact release date will be May 26, 2023. The late Kevin Conroy voices Batman in the game.
