Picking your accessories in Elden Ring is not a decision that should be taken without a strategy. Every piece of gear that you carry will affect your performance, and no accessory has more impact than Talismans. Here we’ll teach you about the best Elden Ring Talismans and where to get them.
Talismans are accessories with special effects. They can be purchased from merchants, looted from chests, pilfered from dead opponents, or dropped by enemies and bosses. Talismans, unlike other items, cannot be upgraded. However, players can find stronger versions of talismans, these are identified with a +1 on the name.
Players can increase the number of Talisman slots by obtaining Talisman Pouches. Players can earn up to three Talisman slots for a total of four. These slots are earned by defeating the following bosses:
- Margit, the Fell Omen in Stormhill, or Morgott, the Omen King in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
- After speaking to Finger Reader Enia, after acquiring two Great Runes, or found in the Twin Maiden Husks’ shop, if missed from Enia.
- Godfrey, First Elden Lord in Leyndell, Royal Capital.
There is no particular order on how to take these tasks.
Best Elden Ring Talismans
The ranking of the Talismans is determined by its effect and how impactful it is during the gameplay.
One of the best Talismans to carry, and arguably the one you should carry if you only have one slot, is Edtree’s Favor. This is a legendary Talisman with two additional tiers (Edtree’s Favor +2). Edtree’s Favor raises the players maximum HP, Stamina, and Equip Load.
- Erdtree’s Favor increases HP (3%), Stamina (7%), and Equip Load (5%).
- Erdtree’s Favor +1 increases HP (3.5%), Stamina (8.5%), and Equip Load (6.5%).
- Erdtree’s Favor +2 increases HP (4%), Stamina (10%), and Equip Load (8.0%).
The base Talisman can be found on Fringefolk Hero’s Grave. Next to the Stranded Graveyard Site of Grace, you will find a double Imp Keystone. Use two Stonesword Keys to access the dungeon full of traps. The Talisman is placed on an altar. The +1 variant is located in the Subterranean Shunning Grounds. The +2 variant is on Lyendell, Ashen Capital.
Another Talisman that players should consider is Dragoncrest Greatshield. This Talisman reduces the Physical Damage taken by 20%. In PVP, the effect is reduced to 5%. There is only one variant for this Talisman available in Elden Ring.
The Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman can be found in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree. The Talisman is on a chest on an elevated platform. The platform is located in a building in the northeast. The area is heavily guarded by Pests.
Our third suggestion is Godfrey Icon. This is also considered a legendary Talisman, it depicts the Elden Lord Godfrey. The Talisman raises the power of charged spells and skills by 15%. Unlike Edtree’s Favor, Godfrey Icon doesn’t have stronger variants.
This Talisman drops from Godefroy the Grafted, found in Golden Lineage Evergaol. Godefroy is an optional boss, but considering the reward for taking it out, it is worth the effort.
