YouTuber and chocolatier Jimmy “MrBeast” Donaldson probably has enough money to buy store staff worldwide, but he has requested his fans to help with his new business of chocolate bars.
Content creators are no longer just entertainers. From Logan Paul to Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa, everyone is dipping their toes in business, expanding their brand beyond content. MrBeast isn’t new to the business world, and Feastables isn’t his first rodeo — but he wants the help of his fans and it’s going too well.
Earlier, the YouTube content king requested his fans to keep the Feastable shelves clean and presentable within their local vicinity. Some complied, but most are either trolling or calling him out for being a “capitalist.”
MrBeast’s call for help goes incredibly wrong
Besides accusing him of wanting free labor, fans are not precisely reacting how MrBeast expected.
The content juggernaut asked them to clean up shelves and sabotage Hershey’s product while they were at it. The tweet has since been deleted, but the internet is a brutal place. Instead of complying, fans are sharing before and after pictures of a destroyed rack.
But not all of them are trolling. Instead, some are deeply invested in ensuring that Hershey’s remains in the back and Feastables look like a more attractive option for the next customer. There are tons of images and messages of people claiming that they destroyed Hershey’s rack so people would buy Feastables instead.
People are calling out MrBeast for spreading the wrong message, as trolls share alarming memes about hurting other people.
But that’s not all. Some are unhappy that MrBeast is expecting free labor from the fans. But it’s likely a non-issue. Those willing to go the extra mile and clean up a shelf can get free entry into Mr Beast’s Shelfie Clean-up contest. Winners can get $5000 for…arranging a small rack. It’s a pretty good deal.
Whatever the case, MrBeast has once again split the internet. Earlier, fans weren’t sure about MrBeast’s kind gesture of helping blind people, so it’s clear wherever MrBeast goes, trouble will follow.
