For the first time in LCK history, a team has managed to complete a flawless regular split.

It is, of course, the most legendary organization of them all that managed to do it with a win against DRX to complete the run: T1. This puts T1 at an 18-0 scoreline ahead of the playoffs and guarantees the team a very special spot in the history books.

Going into the playoffs, T1 will be the obvious favorite and potentially look to continue the flawless run, making this split perfect from start to end. T1 will be entering the playoffs directly in the semifinals, meaning that the team only has two best-of-five series between them and the first LCK trophy of 2022.

Faker and T1 completes flawless split against DRX

The final win to complete the perfect run was against DRX who has been one of the biggest dark horses this split. With legendary bot laner Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu leading the squad all split, DRX has fought between the top teams in the standings and wasn’t looking like the easiest opponent for T1 to finish the split on.

Despite the qualities of DRX, T1 was determined to complete the perfect regular split and didn’t let anything stand in its way. In just two games, T1 got the better of DRX led by mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok in both games.

The all-time greatest was the primary carry in both games, starting out on Vex where he ended the game with a 4/0/5 scoreline in just 29 minutes. What DRX wasn’t prepared for was Faker popping off even harder in game two, where he crushed Kim “Zeka” Geon-woo and the rest of DRX on Veigar. It took T1 just 30 minutes to close the game and series, with Faker delivering another flawless scoreline at 8/0/6.

The flawless LCK run is just another record in the books for T1 as an organization. The organization is currently holding the most World Championship trophies in the world and is rapidly chasing another one this season after a few weaker years.

Before that can happen, the record-breaking team will chase the 2022 LCK Spring Split trophy and a chance to represent South Korea at the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational.

T1 will play its semifinal on Saturday, March 26, against either the defending champion DWG KIA or whoever ends in the sixth seed.
